About Us

Denise Hurley

Hello and welcome to the website! I am a native Bostonian who has landed here in the south via Southern California. While I do love the south and the more mild temperatures, I also miss the charm and appeal of New England and travel back home a few times a year as the majority of my family still resides there.

I have been with N2 Publishing for more than 10 years and first began working with our community magazines. I started Medical Professionals Charlotte in July 2019 and I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoy working on the magazine and feel honored to meet, sit down with and speak with so many wonderful physicians in the Charlotte and Lake Norman area.

Juan Zambrano

I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia and have lived in the US for the last 18 years. After working in the corporate world for many years, my wife inadvertently helped me to turn my photography hobby into my main business when she bought me a DSLR camera so I could take better pictures of her.

I enjoy capturing people, interactions, feelings, special moments and important events. I work with people anywhere from Charlotte to Asheville and I love spending time with my wife and two beautiful girls who mean the world to me.

About the Publication

Medical Professionals Charlotte is a local, monthly, peer to peer magazine for physicians, case managers, hospital executives and those in the healthcare industry in the Charlotte and Lake Norman area. The content spotlights the various aspects of the physician’s practices, medical hot topics, their personal lives, and trends written by local healthcare professionals.

This forum was created to help connect physicians with their peers and to provide a resource for interpersonal connection and a forum to learn from one another across many different medical disciplines while providing a platform to connect physicians with the businesses who support their growth and success.

The magazine has an electronic counterpart, a website and social media outlets. We are not a pay-to-play model. Physicians pay nothing to tell their story in our magazine. If you are a physician and have something to write about, a charity you support, a hobby that you love, or just a story or a patient experience you would like to share with your peers, please feel free to reach out.

“Medical Professionals Charlotte Magazine and Denise Hurley are outstanding resources for the medical community. In a day and age where primary care providers and specialists are often not working together, Denise has provided a venue that connects us all. The publication has served to introduce us to new docs in the community and reacquaint us with old friends. Denise is excellent to work with and makes the entire process easy for busy clinicians. Extra thanks to Denise for bringing this concept and publication to life here in the Charlotte region! If you are not a monthly reader, you need to become one.”

“I recently had the pleasure and privilege of being interviewed by Denise Hurley for Medical Professionals Charlotte magazine. It was TRULY a pleasure to meet her and to share part of my twenty-two-year history as a medical professional in Charlotte. She has a comfortable and contagious interviewing style which helps to understand both the personal and the professional side of the physician she is interviewing and also delves into the practice to which they belong. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading past editions and putting faces to names of physicians with whom I share patients. In our current pandemic circumstances, it is so nice to know and to be known with one another in the medical community. Thank you, Denise, for making that possible!”

“The magazine does a great job of creating a sense of medical community outside of our individual organizations. I really appreciate how there is an active effort to portray the physicians of large hospital systems and independent practitioners. Denise is a great interviewer. She allows the interviewee the capacity to show their medical expertise, motivations and non medical interests. I was also proud to see that the magazine also emphasizes the importance of medical charity. Great Job Denise!”

“I recently had the pleasure of working with Denise Hurley of Charlotte’s Medical Professionals magazine. She has a thorough, intuitive, compassionate, and easy-going interviewing style which allows her to successfully probe into the issues that face today’s medical professionals. She and her magazine focus on the physician leaders in our region’s hospital systems, independent practices, and nonprofit volunteer agencies all of which provide her readers with essential information to navigate the region’s healthcare issues. She and her magazine also provide her readers and interview subjects with information regarding ancillary services which can complement and improve the practice of medicine. I would highly recommend Denise and the Charlotte Medical Professionals magazine!”
